Message from baseball player Takeya Nakamura, Saitama Seibu Lions
April 18, 2011
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to everyone who suffered losses and inconvenience from the Great East Japan Earthquake. I truly wish their safety and earliest recovery.
I believe families staying in the Sendai House are in very severe conditions as they have been affected by their children’s illness and the Great East Japan Earthquake. I assume they spend their days in uncertainty caused by subsequent aftershocks.
I know it’s easy to just encourage you but I do want to try best to keep spirits up!
And I wish children fighting their sickness hold their dreams tight and feel the joy of living while overcoming existing difficulties as well as their illness even in ongoing severe situation continues. It’s hard to fight illness but I hope children will do their best to put through their sickness and become healthy so that they can play outside, work out and enjoy a good sweat!
And I will do my best to help them hang in to the end.
