Ronald McDonald House Charities Japan will participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2025 Charity as a donation recipient organization and ask for donations and charity runners.

Entering as a charity runner will help support the Ronald McDonald Houses.

We appreciate your support for the opening of Ronald McDonald House Kyoto through the Tokyo Marathon 2025 Charity.  (Please specify “Kyoto House” when making your donation).

As a token of our gratitude for your support, we will place your name on a Tree of Gratitude that will be placed in the house when it opens. Why not have your name engraved on the land of Kyoto?

◇Tokyo Marathon Charity

This is an initiative to expand the circle of charity activities through the Tokyo Marathon. You will be eligible to participate by donating. People who donate an amount higher than what was set by the donation recipient may participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2025 as charity runners to promote charity activities.

◇Eligibility (Charity Runners)

– Registering to participate (run) as a charity runner is optional.

– Eligibility: – Participants must be 19 years old or older on the day of the Tokyo Marathon 2025 and be able to complete the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes.

– Other eligibilities by the Tokyo Marathon 2025 Requirements and Rules.

◇Donation amount (donation only / charity runner)

For donations only: From 1,000 yen

For those wishing to be charity runners: From 100,000 yen

◇ Schedule (Donation Only / Charity Runner)

■Charity Runner Application Period: Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 11:00~Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 17:00

*  Donation-only applications are accepted until 17:00 on Friday, August 30.

■Steps from application to charity runner entry
During the period of July 16 (Tue.) 11:00 – July 19 (Fri.) 17:00, the Tokyo Marathon Entry Office will send an e-mail invitation to those selected. Please follow the instructions in the email and make your donation by the deadline. After confirming your payment, we will send you information for charity runner registration. Please make your official entry to become a charity runner by the deadline.

<Tokyo Marathon 2025 Charity Participation Steps & Schedule>

*  We have a different period for donations.

◇ How Charity Runners are selected

1) Donations of 100,000 yen or more per person
2) 100 priority places for donors to our organization Tokyo Marathon 2023 and 2024 Charity runners (excluding those with transferred rights) and current supporters and supporting companies
However, if we receive more applications than that, runners will be selected by lottery.
3) Runners will be selected based on the amount of their donations, starting with the highest.  → For the same donation amount, priority will be given to those who applied first. The first applicants from the start of the application period (11:00 on June 25)

▪Run wearing Team RMHC T-shirts!

All registered runners will receive a special RMHC T-shirt. Let’s finish the race together with fellow runners sharing the same thoughts. (Whether to wear it is Optional.)

* A sample T-shirt. We will prepare an original design for the 2025 Marathon.

▪RMHC exclusive goods will be given away!

Please wear it to show that you are running as a TeamRMHC Charity Runner and help us raise awareness for Ronald McDonald House.

▪Your name will be listed on the Tree of Gratitude Plaque of the House!

As a token of our gratitude for your support, we will place a plaque with your name on the Tree of Gratitude at the house of your choice. (Only for those who wish to. The same applies to people who donate without participating in the race.) Please select where your donation should go from 12 Houses in Japan, Family Room, Shizuoka House or Kyoto House under construction, and the Foundation.

* Only personal names will be accepted. Companies and organizations donating 200,000 yen and above can have their names displayed on plaques.

* Your name will be shown on the monitor at Niigata House and the Foundation. Shizuka House and Kyoto House will display your names after their opening.

* Your name will also be shown on the official Ronald McDonald House website.

▪We will set up the Hospitality Room, a room exclusive for charity runners after the goal!
