Announcement: Start of Charity Donations and Charity Runner Applications for Tokyo Marathon 2027 Charity

Since April 2026, ALL Ronald McDonald Houses  have reduced their usage fee from the previous 1,000 yen per person per day to free of charge.

We need your warm support to ensure that all families who need the RMH can use our facilities without any worries.

Your donations through Tokyo Marathon 2027 Charity will be greatly appreciated.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Japan will be participating as a charity donation recipient organization in the Tokyo Marathon 2027 Charity, scheduled for Sunday, March 7, 2027. We are now accepting charity donations and applications for selected Charity Runners.

★How to Apply for Tokyo Marathon 2027 Charity Program

There are two ways to participate:

①Participate as a Charity Runner
If you support the mission of The Ronald McDonald House and make a donation of at least 120,000 yen, you will be eligible to participate as our Charity Runner.   If the number of applicants exceeds the available slots, we will select runners as explained below:

②Participate by Donation Only
We also warmly welcome those who choose to participate by donation only (at least 1,000 yen).

Application Period: from Wednesday, June 24, 2026 (11:00-) to Monday, August 31, 2026 (-17:00)

All runners who enter will receive our exclusively-designed running T-shirt for free. Finish the race together with fellow runners sharing the same passion! (Wearing the T-shirt is optional.)

◇Receive Exclusive Ronald McDonald House Merchandise!
We hope you will wear them to show that you are running as an RMH Charity Runner and help raise further awareness for Ronald McDonald House. 

◇Your Name on “Tree of Gratitude” at Ronald McDonald Houses!
As a token of our appreciation, we will display a nameplate with your name on the “Tree of Gratitude” at the Ronald McDonald House of your choice.* (*Optional; those who wish to participate by donation only will also be eligible.) You can select from our 12 Houses and 2 Family Rooms across the county, as well as the soon-to-open Kyoto House and the planned Shizuoka House, or theRonald McDonald House Charities Japan itself.

*Only personal names will be accepted. For corporations or groups, a donation of at least 200,000 yen will be requested for inclusion on the nameplate.
*Nameplates for the Kyoto and Shizuoka Houses will be displayed after they open.
*Your name will also be mentioned on the official RMH website.

◇Post-Race Access to the Exclusive Hospitality Room for Charity Runners!
We will set up a separate room for you to relax and refresh your mind and body upon finishing the race. Share your joy and excitement with fellow runners, your family members/friends, and our cheering squad!
